Why is my light switch hot?

Light switches can only handle a certain amount of electricity, and if they reach maximum capacity, they will be hot. This typically indicates a faulty switch, a problem with the wiring, or something else. It can be a serious safety hazard and should be addressed by a professional immediately.

How do I know if my electrical outlet is burning?

You will know if your electrical outlet is burning because you will probably see discoloration around an outlet. You may also notice a strange smell or feel that an outlet is unusually hot. In any case, this can put you at risk of an electric shock and can even be a fire hazard.

If you think your outlet is burning, call an electrician immediately.
